Ingredients
- 3 cups of mixed berries
- 3 tablespoons of flour
- 3 tablespoons of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Juice of half a lemon
- 1 pie crust
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- Sanding sugar for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Mix all ingredients and pour into the center of the prepared dough.
- Fold the edges of the dough over the fruit, leaving the center exposed.
- Make egg wash by mixing the egg with 1 tablespoon of water.
- Brush around the pie crust; then sprinkle with sanding sugar.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes until the mixture is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
- Let the Galette sit until cooled.
- Serve with or without a scoop of ice cream.
